About Anthony Redmile

Antler Furniture -
The Redmile collection of antler chandeliers and furniture has been inspired by the eccentricity of the Victorian age. It is remarkable and perhaps not well known that our Scottish red deer stags shed their antlers and grow a new pair every year.

Antler furniture is therefore unique in being created from truly organic and renewable resources. It is reassuring to know that while we enjoy the ambiance of an antler chandelier, the "Prince of the Forest" still roams free in the glen.

Grand Tour Collection -
The Anthony Redmile Grand Tour Collection consists of replicas and reproductions of classical works of art. It includes a large range of busts, heads, figures, vases and planters as well as wall hanging plaques, ovals and roundels priced from £25 to £1000. The original statuary and objets d'art are principally from the Greek and Roman eras or souvenirs of the Grand Tours of the 18th and 19th Centuries. Most of these reproductions are in faux marble which can be placed inside or outside the house and the form is virtually indistinguishable from the original. Faux marble is a reconstituted stone, which consists of 65% stone and marble and 35% polymer resin which allows for fine detail. The objects are hand-finished to appear like marble. The materials used give the objects a robust vitality, an authentic feel and support a realistic visual impression. The result is an object that has the subtlety of an original, the quality of a Redmile and at a price that makes great works of art accessible. Probably the Largest Collection of high quality reproduction Grand Tour statuary in the World. Our Catalogue contains photographs of over 350 objects.

Country Furniture -
The Anthony Redmile Collection includes the very highest quality reproductions of traditional 16th and 17th century English Country and French Provincial furniture.

We have refectory, gate leg and tripod tables available in standard sizes but all can be made in any size; with the option of extension leaves or draw leaves. We can also offer matching benches or appropriate sets of chairs in ladder back, spindle back, Windsor, Queen Anne and French or Italian rustic styles to complement the tables.

Both the French and English tables may be in light oak, dark oak, golden oak, limed oak or cherrywood with any of the bases illustrated. The table tops may be from 4 to 7.5cm thick and the planks may be constructed as though seamless or dry-jointed for the more rustic look; the surface may be smooth or ribbed. The tables are finished to appear antique and further distressing is available on request.

Regency Furniture -
The Anthony Redmile collection includes the highest quality reproductions of 19th century Regency furniture.

Regency dining tables, for example, with their simplicity, practicality and elegance: they are highly desirable pieces and are the antiques of the future.

An original three-pillar Regency dining-table would cost perhaps £70,000 and a good quality late 19th century reproduction would cost about £20,000.

Our tables which are solid mahogany and made in England by skilled craftsmen are available for considerably less than an original. This is almost incredible if you consider that only an expert would be able to distinguish them from one made 200 years ago.

Marble Furniture -
